Mounting dish on fascia

I want to mount my satellite dish on the wooden fascia board. The mast needs to clear the gutter (5" wide overhang) and the dish needs to be about 1 metre above the board (fixed at the top of the mast) for better reception.

Would these be suitable?

The satellite dish is a standard Sky minidish (53cm) with Raven mounting arm and single LNB.

Fascia mounting is not a good idea - they are often insecurely fastened in the first place and adding a dish on a 1m pole just creates lots of leverage! You dont really want the dish to come adrift in the first gale...

Use T&K brackets and a sturdy bit of steel tubing with a suitable standoff to clear the roof & gutter.
 
Yup. Fixings into masonry (Not mortar courses!) a much better idea.
 
Try the SAT/2S double fixing bracket.

That looks a better bet, but its stand-off of 18" is not quite enough. My soffit + fascia + gutter overhang is 19". Are there any similar brackets which can accommodate a 19" overhang?

They do fine for most soffit/fasia clearance. Other option would be a 24inch TK briefly outlined in post #2.
 
Hi, the dish is at the front of the house, so I imagine the 24" T&K brackets would look very ugly and I want to avoid this if possible.

I've considered a 6ft supercrank pole - _http://www.aerialsandtv.com/polesandbrackets.html#CrankedPoles". This has a 24" standoff but the 13" at the top is insufficient height for the dish (I need about 18" from the soffit). Ok, my overhang is 'only' 19-20" so I could gain an inch or two by moving the pole up, but not enough.

How about 12" T&K brackets (8" standoff) with a 6ft cranked pole (12" standoff)?

Any opinions welcome and thanks for the responses so far.
