I understand there are some restrictions with CI+ cams which we didn't have with standard CI cams and cards.

I've currently got a Panaccess CI+ cam in a VU+ Duo 4K SE which is working fine. Would it be possible to move it to another VU+ Duo 4K SE or even a TV with a built in CI+ cam slot and continue to see the same channels or are they locked to the original box? Same question applies to a Conax CI+ cam and viewing card, can the card and cam be freely moved between receivers?

That's my understanding. Although I've not moved the CAMs around receivers, CAMs are not paired to the unit they are in. Just the cards to the CAMs.

I confirm that. Tested.
The only detail you must check is that the receiver or TV must be CI+ compliant. If so, no problem.

Thanks guys. OK, so since Panaccess doesn't use a removable card, I should be able to just take the cam and put it in another CI+ compatible receiver and continue watching.

I haven't been able to watch or record two channels at once via a CI+ setup, I assume that's part of the restrictions.

I think so. The CAM does decode just one channel at a time, so recording more than one is forbidden.
You can test this trying to record one encrypted channel and one FTA, it should work.
Instead, no problem for viewing in different receivers. Tested again today with my Kabelio CI+ CAM.
