Hi,
I have a Sky HD box and a multi-room setup (standard sky box). I am fed up with paying the fees and only watching free channels. Rant over!!

Freesat sounds interesting. What do I need to do to get Freesat? My understanding is just cancel Sky. Is that all and if so what will I loose?

Just cancel sky, and you will get the freesatfromsky line up.

Pull the card out of the box and have a flick through your favourite channels. Mentally add back in C4 C5 5US, Fiver Sky 3 and Sultana Sports News, plus any timeshifts.

Thats what you will have access to.

My Satellite Setup
No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...
My Location
Near Pontop Pike, Co. Durham
Cancel your sub, you'll lose the subscription channels and the ability to use the Sky+ functions on the HD box, but if you really want to, buy a HD Freesat box and sell off your skyHD box (as it's pointless having a PVR you can't record onto!!!), no need to realign the dish as it comes from the same satellites... :)
