Your options are severely limited in Cameroon as there is very little transmitting directly into that area!

To be honest you are going to need local knowledge of whats available.

I would think that NSS7 at 22 West would give you the best options with a reasonable sized dish (60cm) http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/canalsathorizons.html

They shouldn't be very expensive to subscribe to anyway.

Theres C-band signals available but as already mentioned theres virtually nothing Ku band covering Africa (yet - theres a satellite specifically for Africa going up in 18 months or so)

There is a west African beam on Astra 2B at 28E although Ive not seen any reports it has ever carried any traffic.

Hi all,
It's true that in terms of number of channels we are very limited here but if you can get that 2.4m, it will help you a lot since there's a lot of possibilities in your area.
Concerning the receivers, any mpeg2/dvb satndard will do (i.e.Humax, strong, echostar ...u name it!)
With a 60 or 40cm, you can get NSS7*22W (...you need to subscribe to canalhorizon for about 70US$ per month), EutelsatW4*36E (with DSTV subscription *about US$80) PAS7/10*68.5E, EutelsatW3*7E.
If you're using your 2.4m, you can get arabsat*26E, nilesat*7W,hotbird*13E and Eurobird*28.5E but all these with very very weak signals and you'll need lot of experience on how to get fringe signals.
I am presently working on this satellites trying to improve the quality of signal and i have posted here msg seaking for help and hints.
regards
