I'm Disgusted (And also paying homage to the latest "improvements" to our Dictionaries)!

I've been contributing in characteristically erudite and informed manner to Planet-F1's Forum for several years >> Variously as Dick Dastardly, Penelope Pitstop, Hooded Claw or Peter Perfect >> but they've "upgraded" ..................

I can log-in, but not Post as apparently one now needs to use one of the Anti-Social Networks as a point of entry. Either that or via Yahoo!, AOL or Hotmail.

So those of us who want simplicity and otherwise have no need or wish to join a plethora of Networks are being disenfranchised.

Just got to hope this Forum never goes the same way (Mind you, they know how to get rid of me now! :eek:)

Just registered and aside from the site being ridiculously slow and no registration email arriving, membership of any of the social networks doesn't seem to be obligatory.

Mmmm, surely figuratively...

Apart from that, if true you have my commiserations on this somewhat fascist decision.

@PaulR

"Literally" now has a new (and Official) meaning - Literally.

Ah, I suspect you've gone for the big-boys Forum there, Rolf >> Sorry, I should have made it clearer which bit of the site I was referring to >> What I've linked to (and was a prolific user of) is restricted to Comments on "Editor's Picks" (ie live News Articles).

Not in my book it doesn't.

Mind you, at the risk of going off-topic (who, me?), I get quite excercised but the incorrect uses of epicentre to be closer than the centre (when in fact it's further away) nand decimated to mean nearly wiped out (when it actually means one tenth killed).

Sorry, thought you meant the forum, haven't tried replying to an article. :) What you could of course do is open up an anonymous facebook account with completely fictitious data and use that.

Good idea Rolf: Heavens, I might even bit the bullet, dispense with the habit of a lunchtime, bit the bullet (Literally ................. (Just to annoy Paul!) and succumb to Facebook anyway.

Sorry, I had forgotten there were two separate means of pontificating on Planet-F1.

Good excuse for a mini-rant, anyhow!
