MR 1.070 firmware...

Im new to the CAM game, i have a MR and Funcard6 to prog it with.​

with the Matrix Reloaded 1.070 (02.03.2004) MR1070.upd file​
​
what does this firmware give me once ive installed it onto the cam?​

The 1.070, was an update and resolved a few minor issues like freezing on some channels. There are newer versions around wjich have updated keys etc, but that version should work fine with a titanium card for Sky Italia.
 
i see there are a few other non official ones over on fookfiles - are they safe to use do u think? whats the worse that could happen? can dodgy firmware updates kill the cam?
 
They can't kill it, but they can make it difficult to upgrade, fortunately, the CAS interface can normally get round this.
 
I think my CAS2 has blown as it's failing to recognise the MR cam on 'connect'. I think it was because I was fiddling with the J-card in a blue-ice. It never did recognise the blue and now .....phut. Think I'll wait for the raffle draw before replacing it. i don't know if repairs are economical?
 
You can always borrow my CAS1 if you get desparate Jimbo. :)
 
Thanks Rolf....not quite desparate yet as I have the dragon to deal with. I mean the cam of course. :)
 
Yes, have to say that the Dragon really is a doddle to load. :)
