mr problem with initialization

hi to everyone

i'm having problem with my mr cam, initialy it was version mr1.04, and it was hanging wery often and it was imposible to change keys by remote so i upgrade it to mr1.133 with ucas loader 1.3. it was working but still hanging from time to time so i rewrited it again with mr1.133 (i was thinking maybe some errors happend during update). afther that i can't initialize it any more.

did everything by laptop through pcmcia, card is recognised by computer every time inserted, reciever shows massage initialising cam but nothing happens! ucas loader can't write anything to cam (card not ready massage)!

cam is in fact integrated cam from newwave 7100ci pcmcia card with separate slot for smartcards (aditional pcb). chips on cam SIDSA mactsp r2h0073, XILINX xc9536xl, AMD am29lv160bb, ISSI is61lv25616al-10t.

any idea?
 
Have the same problem with my newwave 7000ucas. LAst time I updated cam to 1.170 and it took me a while until the receiver recognised the cam....
now I updated the cam with 17/03/2005 file and can't initialize it.

Any idea?

Same here. updated with 17/3/2005 ...1.170 tps fix and cant get it to initalize. Think there is a ch you put it on first then re start receiver. Will keep trying and let you know if i get it going.

Got it going now. Before you take the cam out go to a free to air station (tv bisnes 13e in my case) then switch off the receiver (not stand by). Take the cam out and install the latest software mr 1170.170305.zip Unzip it first. Then put cam back in slot and power on the receiver. It should initalize now, Mine did. Hope this help you out.

I followed the suggestions I found around. After updating the cam I put it in the laptop slot again....this I guess initializes the cam before I insert it in my NW7000UCAS. To make sure it is initialized I also put the cam in my CAS 2 and the cam was successfully detected. I then took it out of the CAS 2 without changing anything.

Then I puit it in the slot of the receiver and switched from a free air-channel to a mul#$visi9n one....and it was ok. ;)

Did you update in laptop. why not with cas 2.
 
No specific reason for updating with laptop. I was trying both Cas 2 and laptop, and then it happened that I correctly got it when I updated with the laptop.

But of course it could be done with Cas 2 as well.
