MS abandon IE 8 9 & 10

Firefox and pale moon ( firefox derivative ) are far better:D

I guess very few members on the forum use any form of IE, but remember there are many casual readers who may not have seen MS were jettisoning their support :)
 
I'm sure that there is a report available somewhere that will give the exact figures for browser usage. It would be interesting to see the result.

Oh, BTW IE11 here. :)
 
My new Win 10 toy has the new-fangled "Edge" Browser (IE by any other name) and it lasted just long enough to allow me to download Firefox.

Edge doesn't even have support for Extensions/AddOns. Unbelievable.
 
Use Chrome mostly, but have played with waterfox, apparently has ongoing support for flashplayer and many plugins. Also have Comodo dragon, another based on Chrome.
 
I mainly use firefox but its been getting very bloated since they moved over to the 6 week update schedule.

Mind you Ive just realised my desktop computer is now 10 years old so the processor is probably struggling now.

PS: What is a "Desktop Computer"? You haven't been visiting the Science Museum at all?
 
I started with Netscape Navigator. Then as the web developed & it didnt more & more sites wouldnt work & I had to make the jump to IE.....

The Communicator part of Navigator was reverse engineered by Mozilla to become Netscape 6, though it undoubtedly helped with Firefox.

There is always SeaMonkey for a complete suite though.
 
Internet Explorer is the best browser in the world, for dowloading another browser to replace it that is... :-rofl2

I do still use IE on my old Portege M300 laptop to access my IP camera as that uses activeX crap that no other browser will support as it's unsecure, not that it ever stopped M$ of course...
 
Was using Chrome until an update from MS went in yesterday, it seems to have killed the functionality, will have to investigate further on my return from hospital am using edge at the moment Ugh

The only time I use IE is when installing a fresh windows and download Firefox or others browsers.It made only for that,isn't it?
I've never used Netscape Navigator. What do you think? Can install add-ons?And if so, how do they work?
