I have to brace the arms here too - its so ruddy windy here the dishes wont stay straight even with the bolts cranked hard down. A few pieces of wood zip tied from the lnb arm to the surrounding supports works wonders :)

I had 9 dishes up at one point before I moved house :D

I dont watch much tv - I much prefer chasing down new satellites & new channels :D
"Somewhat" similar here! - it's more a case of the "journey" than the "destination"

Just today Ive logged a new satellite slot by tinkering, ( & also discovered the 9/10E dish has moved so that needs fettling again)

Very few folks on the forum have more than a couple of dishes. I think Ive got 6 up atm although 1 isnt currently doing anything except getting the neighbours used to that bit of the pole having something attached to it :)

Ive got at least another 6 stashed in the garage of various sizes from 40cm to 85 cm

Can anyone recommend a good pole and bracket for a zone1/2 dish? Ideally heavy duty and wallet friendly.

Zone 1 & 2 dishes come with a bracket that works perfectly well for a fixed installation.

Forgot to add, I need something at least 4 to 5 feet.

I've looked at these
TV Aerial Fixing Kit Wall

But they don't mention if they're galvanised.

I'm wondering if that type of bracket is ok, or if I should go and get a TK bracket.

Described as "Alloy" actually means it's aluminium alloy - so it won't be galvanised!

Also, that's just the pole, and doesn't include any brackets.

Also, take a look at the Tradeworks site - lots of possible choices for both dishes & mounting hardware.

BTW, if you are going to all this trouble then maybe even consider a "conventional" 70cm elliptical dish as it may easier to fit a 3x LNB setup to that?

thanks, this is for a second dish I'm looking to put up that would be pointing at 42e.

Can I get a zone 1/2 dish and a motorised dish on the same pole or is that just asking for trouble? Ideally a 50mm pole

The current "count"- all connected to the 16-1 DiSEqC switch, apart from the steerable ones and the "house" Sky dish:
"80cm cheapy" (new ebay cheapie 3 yrs ago) - 52E TurkmenÄlem/MonacoSat; 46E/45E Azerspace-1 /Intelsat 904; 42E Turksat 3A/4A
"Zone 2 New" (NOS ebay cheapie with Quad from an "exchanger-type" shop 2 yrs ago) - 30W Hispasat
Gibertini OP125L (used ebay bargain 2yrs ago) - 45W-53E, as steered from Office or Lounge.
"90/W" (free off neighbour's wall 10 yrs ago!) - 5W Eutelsat 5 West A; 0.8W Thor; 4.8E Astra 4A
TD110 (used ebay cheapie 5 yrs ago) 45W-53E, as steered from Office or Lounge
"Zone 2 Old" (freebie with the TD110!) - 39E Hellasat; 28E Astra 2
"60cm" (probably about 13-14 yrs old)" - 23E Astra 3B
TD78 (used ebay cheapie with monobloc 2yrs ago) - 13E Hotbird
"90/E" (ex local "recycling yard" 15+ yrs ago) - 9/10E Eutelsat 9B/10A; 3E Eutelsat 3B
"Zone 1" (came with my 1st Sky Digibox in 1998!) - 19E Astra 1- No signal, probably a cable fault
TD88 (ex local "recycling yard" 15+ yrs ago) - 16E Eutelsat 16A - Poor signal needs realigning!
(and not forgetting the unused 20yr old Raven 90, currently "parked" on a vegi bed under the Gibby - anyone want that??)

And then there's the white Zone 2 on the conservatory roof for the house SKY system.:D

But @RimaNTSS can beat that lot by a "country mile" :-rofl2
