My Satellite Setup
* Currently
1 x 60cm for 28.2e
1 x T55 for 0.4w + 9e + 13e + 19.2e
1 x 120cm for 5w
Quad LNBs on each sent to different receivers in different flats.
My Location
belgium
I have got so many RAI channels from 5W that I am spoilt for choice.

e.g RAI Movies and RAI Premium.

An example was RAI Movies found on Eutelsat 5 West B 11179 V. The signal is very good on my 60cm dish in Brussels BE.

I looked on Lyngsat, and it lists it as a multistream PLS Gold.

I had thought that multistream was not possible on a small dish in Belgium.

Am I right to think this is the multistream a channel? I would be well chuffed.

yes, clearly it is multi stream.

its crazy how many RAI channels come in, on 5w ....almost annoying. :)
I am pleased. Thank-you for the confirmation.
Interestingly, I did not add the MS transponders myself. These just popped up during an automatic scan.

Next step is try to get those France TV channels, which are much much harder if not impossible with my little dish.

here are my numbers:
Code:
Lock (0x1f) Signal= -36.00dBm C/N= 20.00dB postBER= 0
Lock (0x1f) Signal= -36.00dBm C/N= 20.00dB postBER= 0

This is 1,5m dish in germany, transponder 12648 v 29500
I think 60cm is not enough!

cheers

Then I will have to wait until I get my roof fixed next year. Then I can move my 100cm dish up theirr.

Actually, I think 60cm will be enough to lock them in Belgium. You're within the 53 dBW contour of the footprint, here in the west of England I'm a little further out (within the 51 dBW contour) and they will just about lock for me on a dish of that size. On an 80cm dish I can lock them most of the time, but they drop out in heavier rain. There probably won't be much rain margin on a 60cm dish but should hopefully be possible to lock them usually at least. Worth giving it a go!

The signal in Germany would be weaker than here in the southern UK in the north and east of the country - the 51dBW contour runs NW to SE, roughly along the edge of NRW, Hesse and Bavaria.

It is enough to have the current satellites.xml and verify the Predefined transponder in Signal finder

Hi,

I have been at this for over a week. There is no way to lock multistream France TV channels on a 60cm dish in Belgium. RAI multistream works but suspect the TP has a stronger output.

The official footprints are tailored for end-users. Not for multistream transmission as far as I understood.

You can attach the antenna to the wall of the house or the vertical wall of the extension.

Or 30cm /110 cm

Thank-you for the link

This won't hold a 15 year old thick galvanised steel motorised 110cm dish weighing in at approx 40 kg.

Even so, I would still have to remove to when my roof is done, and I would need permission (an easement at worst) to attach it to the neighbour's wall.

I prefer to wait.

You throw the motor to the bin, the antenna itself is not heavy.
I remember the pictures you showed us, there will be no need to remove the antenna from the wall of your own house (during roof repairs).
You don't even need a professional antenna installer, every good bricoleur can attach the bracket to the wall. Next you attach the antenna on the bracket and you search 5°W by yourself.
In this way, you are setting a great example for your son, that he too will be able to do complex bricolage.
All the guys helping you with advices here, install their own antennas.

p.s.
women can handle it too

You don't get it.

Speaking of Sat 5 West.....I seem to have a problem with two UHD Channels on
Freq 12522 V DVB-S2/8PSK 29950 2/3. They are France 2&3 UHD.
The thing is I can download them with my Dreambox 900UHD but
I simply cannot find them in my Channel List when I look for them.
Now when I use my Octagon SF800F I can download them and
also find them in my channel list.
N.B. I using NewNigma in my Dreambox whilst OpenATV in my Octagon.
Any suggestions.

They've been donwloaded as DATA, you need to change to UHD TV (31) in DreamBoxEdit...

Do they open with a Fransat card in a softcam?
Or only CI+?

More reason to get a new one.

it doesn't make sense if your TV is not at least 65"

12605 V,35300,2/3,8PSK with Multi 4,5,6 activated(new). PLS code 16416 can also be used for all MIS. This code is also valid for 12627 H.
A new feature is that on 12648 V,29500,8/9,8PSK for MIS, you can also use PLS Root code 143816, not only Gold 121212.
