I seem to have lost quite a few channels..I'm currently pointed @ Astra 1..are any of the premier and Kiosk channels cracked.

Believe M/vision was working this afternoon on DreamBox so I don't think they have made any changes.

Did you mark the position on the dish/mount to make sure you put it back exactly as was?

Is the signal strenght as good as before?

Let me know how you get on - I still have my Comag but haven't updated it.

It's a great little receiver - i did use it for a while and was very pleased.

It's still there..I've just discovered it is the signal strenght thats the problem...I have quite a long run of cable that goes the lenght of my garden and then up a wall and thru the attic then back down 2 storys to my reciever..but when I link from the LNB straight down the garden into the reciever I get Multi back....I now have to figure a way to shorten the cable ..might have to go thru the wall..missus will love that..not

Try using an airbrick or a window frame to run the cable through - she might let you away with that. You can get flat coaxial connectors that fit on window frames without drilling.

Or move out to the shed to watch it!!!

If the cable length is more than 30 metres, you may get away with an inline amplifier, but from the sound of it the dish may be misaligned.

Is the cable from the loft down to the receiver proper satellite cable?

Now that I think about it the cable is ordinary tv cable..I built an extension to the house and laid the cable myself but installed ordinary tv cable..If this is the case I can't understand why I can pick up 99.9% of the chanells available on Htbrd but it's just the multivision stuff that I cant..I'll think of something..cheers anyway guys.

Hi GB....
I'm located in Ireland and I just cant seem to locate this type of coaxial cable...can you tell me who supplies in UK?...I also think Rolwf may be right..the dish may be slightly misaligned as I am getting pixelation and picture jumping on certain chanells...so it's back to fiddling around again

The multivision channels 1 - 7 are at 11,662 and depending on the switching of the receiver DiseqC, this is potentially transmitted along the cable at 1.9 Ghz and this is way outside the operating efficiency of TV standard single screened coax.

Ther must be many suppliers of double screened coax in Ireland, whereabouts are you?

Hi rolfw..
the type of cable I'm looking for seemingly cant be bought off the shelf...it's the flat type that is used to run thru closed doors and windows..but I have posted on the Comag runboard forum and I was given a supplier right here in Dublin.....Maplins had never heard of it and we have a cabel shop who do every type of cabel under the sun and they didn't supply either...just goes to show...I have to say I have never enjoyed a hobby as much as this one, the amount of learning and build up of knowledge is fantastic..and it's guys like you who answer these mundane posts that make it so enjoyable..cheers and thanks, keep up the good work

I have had excatly the same problem tonight - multivision signal is very week, I havent touched my dish so I would be interesteted to know if others in the uk are having the same issue with these channels or if I have problems, multivision 8 is watchable but all others come up as no signal even though the fortec is trying to lock on to it..

Regards

Adrian
