Hey ppl,
Have a m-vision (fcis-7000) reviever, with and 80cm dish. Can hit hotbird, astra & hispa sat. Fine enough my question is this reciever has a section call smartcard (hidden unless you key in 9999 from the remote in the menu area)
I have the option to enter keys there to update however i am completely confused as to how to format the keys for this area. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

sub question it states that you can enter keys for negra, seca, viaccess and ird is this a soft 4 -1 card? Can it really be update from the remote?

Cheers

Certainly sounds like it can, you need a hex to bin converter, there should be one in the utilities downloads section.

Rolfw,
thanks for the reply i belive it takes HEX codes as the area to enter the codes if the following fromat XX.XX.XX.XX.XX.XX etc etc the input interface contains HEX keys ie 1-9 and A- F however i am confused by the 01:xx xx xx xx xx xx xx format what is the 01 or even 0C as i only have places to enter numerical index (not sure thats right)

Doesn't matter, use the hex to bin converter (already done for you on many sites) and enter the 3 digit decimal, the receiver will convert them to to 2 digit hex.

They will normally be on the keysite alongside the keys.
