ok guys this is my first install which took me about 4 months to install it
you all be thinkin why it took about 4 months to install, well when i first started
this i got everything set up apart from the dish,so when it came round to put the dish
onto the pole i got blown off the ladders (at troughing height) with a suddan gust of wind
that caught the dish, the dish landed safely ish but i never i ended up breakin my collarbone
and cracking 3 ribs,a big lump on my head and a bruised ego,i got a mate to put the dish on the pole
(cos me confidance has gone now when i go up ladders) told him what to do,he didnt do too bad
but for me its not 100%,i might attempt it if i get the courage or i might leave it as it is what do you think ????,these are the services am getting, all scanned apart from 28.2e

36.0e 5 services (scanned)
33.0e 3 services (scanned)
28.2e 661 services (not scanned)
26.0e 56 services (scanned)
25.5e 7 services (scanned)
19.2e 375 services (scanned)
13.0e 604 services (scanned)
0.8w 50 services (scanned)
30.0w 119 services (scanned)

im using dm500s,97cm technomate dish,technomate 4 output lnb,10 foot scaffold pole,2xK brackets which i made,120mm x 12mm studding bolts using chemical anchor,webro wf100

Congratulations magnu420 it seems a fair result considering the roof restrictions

Ouch!

I'm sure the hobbyists amongst us have all found ourselves in precarious positions at least once, but most got away with it.

Those who do it for a living have (and rightly so) the Working At Height Regs to base their methods upon.

Anyway, the results don't look three bad - 97cm dish in Lancs getting Channels from 26E without swamping from 28.2E seems pretty good.

Are you going to add 23.5E, 16E, 10E, 7E, 4.8E and all the missing stuff Westward?

97cm?

Is that a TD110 measured across the shortest dimension?

Looks OK magnu420. Surprised your dish wasn't damaged considering the distance it fell.

Splendid job there magnu420.

Looks like an 88cm ;)

yeah im sure its a 97cm i got it of fleabay Item number: 390281918682
hopefully i will be adding the west sats

forgot to mention im using a technomate tm2600

Ah, I did wonder if you were using something other than the DM500: The latter is notoriously fickle when used with Motors!

As for the dish, you certainly did say it was a TM ........... It was the horrid elevation slide that made me assume it was a Triax. On that basis, I went for TD110 and my friend plumped (probably more realistically) for 88cm. The truth lies elsewhere!!

Im the same i never go up ladders I install all my sats on ground, in middle doing my channel master now i had one of them tm dishes there really good that's really nice set up mate Well done

Congratulations on getting the dish up in the end. looks nice and neat :)

Is 119 services on 30w a little low though? I just had a scan with my TD110 and got 569.
