Hello, These are some pictures of my very budget analogue and digital satellite system. It's cheap and cheerfull (most days). I have a Skyline DSR-4000 and a Grundig GRD-250 (with the fake wood front) connected to a mk3 ( I think) zone 2 mini dish pointed at 19.2, both fed into a Global smart priority switch (untill i get around to buying a quad lnb). I also have a Ross DVB-S 5010 receiver connected to a Ross 65cm Satellite dish pointed at Hotbird. At £25 for a complete system, i just had to get it and have a play. The dish is not bad at all for the price, Ugly yes and the wall mount seems a bit OTT. The receiver is best kept as a spare..... and that's being polite :) Obviously i need to tidy the cables up and attempt to get the dishes to blend into the garden......that's the hard bit. Thanks for looking,

Welcome to the forum srx200. Neat little dish install there :)

Thanks everyone for the nice comments :) I'v really enjoyed reading the forums the last the few months and it's nice to be able to contribute something (even if it is just a few pics!). The next planned installment will be some T & K brackets, a scaffold pole and a 1m dish which will eventually be motorized.

Welcome SRX200 ...
I can only echo the comments of other members so far ..

As to the SPS1 ...
Don't lose it ...as has been said already ...these are rare as rocking horse excrement these days ..

..though Pulsat still do a Jaeger copy ...around £20 ...for now at least ..
I still use 4 of these switches in my system ..
1 x sps1 and 3 x jaegers

Gawd knows why these switches were abandoned as a commercial product ..
As far as I know ..its the only way to use multiple receivers on a single lnb fixed/motorised installation ..
I blame Sky ...as the need for complex systems was made redundant with the intoduction of mini dishes and quad lnbs ..
In their attempt to indoctrinate the masses ...they forget there ar those of us who want to explore the Clark belt to its full potential..

Thanks Vipersan,
I was going to ditch the SPS1 after i'v changed the LNB for a quad but now thinking about it, it's quite a retro thing and it shall be staying :) Afterall, i can only watch one box at a time and it compliments the old analogue box very nicely. And when they retire analogue, it can be used on the 28.2 feed having priority over the sky box to a cheap receiver just for the radio channels. It's such a handy device, it can always be slotted in somewhere to do something.
