Lost...
hey peeps, ive been meaning to make this thread for some time,
i know some of you have fancy setups but mine is very simple,
some of you may laugh at it but its been working a treat,
ive had it up since approx september 2011 and ive been feed hunting with this setup and get most the feeds

so basically i got this tub from wickes and got some post fix concrete,
got a piece of scaffolding and basically just let the scaffold settle in with the post fix concrete whilst holding the scaffolding dead straight,
i used post fix concrete because it settles a lot quicker,
my dish is on my balcony, being a council place i wasnt keen on mounting the dish to the wall,
i just thought id so my setup for those who want to get into the satellite scene but cant mount to the wall for whatever reason

i got the idea from this vid,

anyways let me know what you think of my setup

Brilliant mate, good luck to you, in all honesty I don't know how it's not tipped over because the U.K. isn't exactly free from high winds for years on end. I'm interested to know what you had "hold" the scaffold pole straight whilst your mix set?

i was holding it straight with a spirit level whilst i had someone dealing with the concrete

its heavy so it wont tip over at all also i made sure i got a rectangle tub instead of the circle buckets so it doesnt tip over

@saj1985 good to see you posting again :)

I like the dish idea ....... very much in the spirit of the true satellite hobbyist.
