Arrived today ..so something to play with over the weekend ..
I dont know about you ..but for me ..there are NEVER enough hdmi ports ..
Normally I'd have gone for a cheapie ..but in light of my new severs 4K output ability ..and I'm considering a 50 inch 4K TV soon ..I figured I'd pay a bit more for this switch ..
UHD 4K*2K HDMI 6x2 3D HDTV HD True Matrix 2.0 Switch Splitter W/ IR ARC PIP N2K9 | eBay
True Matrix 6x2 4K ...with both digital and analogue audio breakout..
with a decent-ish (biscuit sized) remote
Time will tell how effective it is ..
but can re-direct any of six input/outputs ..to either of 2 I/Os

Very nice, I may need something like that myself one day although it only has one more input than my 5x1 switch. And that 5x1 switch replaced an earlier 3x1 switch. And that is in addition to the two other HDMI inputs on the TV.

I have a very similar one. 4 inputs, 2 outputs - perfect for my man-cave arrangement. Though I am wishing I bought the 6 input version one. I seem to have a never ending set of boxes....

Works well enough but the switching is not instant - probably around 3-5 seconds while TVs realise the output changed somewhere.

So ..what I like so far ..
The switcher supports 2 hdmi TVs or monitors ..and input can be re-directed to either output..
The switcher also supports internally a small PIP ...but the source in the PIP window must not exceed 1080P

What I dont like ..
2 of the inputs 5 and 6 are front facing ..ie ..on the front fascia
I'd much prefer them all to the rear of the switch..
As CJ says there is a small switchover delay ..but this doesn't bother me overmuch..
The PIP could be a bit larger as it looks so tiny on a 50inch TV ...
..at least this is a useful thing to identify what is on another channel before switching..
The PSU is 5v ..and will have to be replaced I think ..
They provide a sh!tty combined European 2 pin plug/psu ...which wouldn't be so bad IF it was on a wire as then an adapter could be used ...
But no ..the 2 pin plug is an extension of the psu body ..thus simply isn't practical ..or indeed safe imo ...hanging out a 2 pin adapter which in turn is plugged into a UK extension strip ..
Its a bit heath robinson ..and only sometimes makes contact..
ie ..a very loose fitting indeed.
Doh!!

Just what I have been looking for HMDI 6 inputs & 2 outputs :)
Thanks for the links.

Que? That's not what the first picture on that eBay listing is showing. The others do and looks much uglier than the first. A bit of a misleading advert methinks.

And whoever thought of putting two inputs on the front should be shot. At least put them on the side....

And breathe...

Couldn't agree more Alex ..
very misleading indeed..
The second picture shows the one I received ..
Very very misleading and confusing..
be warned if you buy one of these ..
It may be functionally similar ..but physically different.
grrr

So ..I wont be sending it back ..
not all the way to China ..
but I have sent this to the vendor..
Not expecting a response ..but I'll let you know if they do reply..
>>>
Why is the item I received not like the one in the first picture of you ebay listing ?
Mine has 2 ports on the front of the unit ...which is clearly a stupid place to put them ..
I assumed I would receive a switch like the one in the picture ..which clearly has the six input ports and 2 output ports to the rear ..
Which is a better arangement and would make cable management more practical..
I am so angry I am considering complaining to ebay..
No one wants cables connecting to the front of this switch..
totally stupid design.

Magnificent when angry.

Just ordered one of these, from Amazon, which is hopefully the one with all sockets at the rear. This will, enable me to declutter some cabling. Had to pay a bit more, although the one you have VS seems to be the same price you paid on Amazon. If I get the same with the two sockets on the front it will be going back.

It does look like a lot of kit for the price, if all had I connections through the device are sound and properly isolated when not in use. Have you tried checking the crosstalk ?

Tested the analogue stereo audio breakout this morning ..using a Philips WAC700 satellite speaker unit in aux mode
More than adequate...in fact ...very pleasing to my old ears..
Now to see if it will simultaneously pass surround sound to the Yamaha surround amp via optical..
(limited to 5.1 I suspect) ..but that'll do.
If all goes well I can get Internet radio from the QNAP server without having the TV on all the time..
:)
update ..
all audio breakout tested analogue and digital..
works just fine.

How are you getting on with it VS/scopus? I think mine is giving up the ghost. Lately, a lot of the time, it simply does not want to pass any HDMI data down - or at least not one that TV can understand. TV simply flickers an occasional image but will often say "no signal"... This happens on two of the connected TVs - different makes and models and seems much worse when both TVs are switched on.

I will email the vendor (kenable.co.uk) and see what they have to say...

Edit: made a video to show you what's happening

Hmmmm, no such problems with me CJ, seems to be OK with me so far...

I changed the sources to 1080i and it seems to be a little bit better. Still occasional loss of picture but it worked fine in the past. Heard nothing from the seller but it's a year old...

Possible PSU problem?
