Hi Guys,

Finally got inspired to share the mess that I have created. I've got three dishes:

- TD110 with Inverto Black Ultra (5E), Alps narrow single ((e), Alps narrow Quad (13e),Titanium Twin (16E), Alps narrow Quad (13e)
- TD88 on Technomate motor with Titanium Quad (2nd Ed)
- Sky dish with Octo LNB

These connect to an EMP Centauri 8x1 diseqc swtich (every LNB goes to this) and three 4x1 Technomate LNBs (each with 13,19,28 and a feed from the rotor).

Indoors I have a DM800 (for the 8x1), DM500 clone, TM500 and TM600.

The TD88 is actually attached to the neighbours outhouse to allow it to get a better view out west (and helps avoid issues about having 3 sats!) so the cables actually go half way round the garden attached to the fence.

The 5E reception on the TD110 isnt perfect as the LNB holder is hanging off the end of the arm. To fix I need to move 16E (the focus) to the other side of the centre. Also, no sign of 23E at present so I will probably need to mod the arm to allow more tilt but both of those issues will have to wait until after the football season.

Oh, I like that!

I shan't ask why you have such a complex arrangement as my own 5 dish system is pushing the limits of comprehension.

looks good, always thought about a multi lnb dish for 19, 16, 13 but I like to move around so a motor dish is better for me and my patience.

I have both - fixed dish for the main sats I watch and motor for everything else :)

On the Dm800 how have you got the two tuners wired? What satellites go into which tuners? Obviously the motor can only be controlled from one tuner so what happens if the tuner that controls the motor is already busy on a fixed LNB and the second tuner needs the motor to move?

The DM800 only has 1 tuner that connects to the 8x1 diseqc and that gets every sat I can see inc the motor but it does not control the motor. I have that controlled by the TM500 (in another room) as I find with the fixed LNBs, I dont need to move it that often.

Silly me. I thought the DM800 was equivalent to the Vu+ Duo.

If only! That's the DM8000 which costs a little more (and frankly with my configuration, wouldn't really help me). Most unfortunately I laid the internal cables (during a renovation when I was re-plastering with carpets up etc) before I really got into this hobby so I only installed a single cable to each point and it would be v messy to add more (not to mention the need to move to a multiswitch if I want any more outputs)
