Hey CJ , just wondering on the process and stuff you used to paint the mount as it looks like new .

Sorry, I missed this. I just cleaned it up with some steel wool and sprayed it with the black primer - nothing special.

Sorry to drag up this old thread, been reading all this this as I now own CJ's mount.

Im sure your setup has probably changed now nelson_b but if it hasn't the washers on your polar mount can sit on top of the Olite bearings, not on top of the mount (hard to see if you have added 2 sets in the pics tho). It will move smoother and not scratch the mount (As much lol) :) was just something I observed looking in the manual.
