Well, i need to get some pictures of the dish and motor

but here is the tempory setup pictures for the boxes.

Soon to be moving into the main living room onto 50''

Left side, Sky Italia box and Sky+
Right side, Digital box and Analogue box.

Dish Input

LNB to Digital for motor. Loop out from box to splitter, splitter to Sky Italia + Analogue.

The setup works quite well seen as i only need one i of the Sat ones on at time and i power off the receiver when not in use so others can be used (providing that the dish is pointing to the correct satellite)

Also, the dish has a quad LNB (so in the end i would like individual inputs to each box). One input is for that and another is used for a standard sky box for FTA in the guest room if anyone stays and wishes to watch tv. I would then point the Dish at 28.2e

Very nice, I would however get rid of the splitters as soon as you can get the quad cabled as it will only lead to grief at one point or another.

Right, moved on since the last pictures and updated bits and bobs.

Sorted out all cabling from each item and where needed fed it under floorboards etc.. so no wires showing at all now

Just the one cable from the dish to the technomate but placed another one into roof space from the back of the tv unit for multipurpose if i do need it etc.. i can run it to the dish or whatever (used sat cable)

Ran a cable (well satellite cable i had) to a built in cupbaord in the room that from there has a switcher box where i have the analogue box plugged in from the dish, old saga megadrive + SNES + VCR as i dont use these often.

Ran cable to the main aerial for the built in freeview if i ever need it ! (why not? )

Changed the tv from a 22" to 26" and i really notice the difference now looking at the old pictures!

Placed a wall plate at the other side of the room that has VGA+Phono + Audio In which is connected up to my tv + surround.

Triple phono cable to the other side of the room where i have mounted a very basic projector which is still great quality at 90" for £110! Thats connected up to both sky+ and sattelite box for easy choice of viewing

Slightly Updated again, well new equipment apart from the TV

Changed the Sky+ to a SkyHD box,
XBOX360 premium to the Elite version
Technomate to an Eagle a DM500 clone
On top of the XBOX is a Asus Revo for viewing normal and HD movies on and general pc use on the TV connected via HDMI

The cable you see coming from the side is a null modem cable, forgot to take it out after updating a box! Soon to picture is a desk further round the room where a VGA cable is routed from the Revo to a 22" lcd TV for extended desktop. This way i can use the pc comfortably while still using the main TV for other use.

I also plan to connect up another feed from my dish and route this to the 22" on my desk where i will place a Technomate TM5200D and Analogue receiver just for testing and playing about.

You may as well be adventurist whilst you can afford to be and there is nothing wrong with upgrading where necessary
