Hi friends ..
I spent all day Sunday up the ladder ...and the result is ..
My TD110 on its new pole mount and new motor (Superior Dark) is functioning well ..
I can track the arc perfectly from 36 East to 58 West ....
Damn that tree that obscures my sat hopping from 39East to 60 East ..
Still ..I will get to see these sats when the leaves drop in winter..
I've maxed out signal wise as far as I'm aware ..with roughly 31 sig and 22 Qual on 7 West ....and can get broken pictures from Dubai one etc on some vertical transponders ..
Does the team think it would be worth buying a new LNB and feed to squeeze a tiny bit more out of my setup..
Unbroken pix from Nilesat (evenings /vertical) is the objective.
If so what is the best dual LNBF or LNB with seperate feed I can fit on my TD110 ?

Inverto Silvertech twin, I found worked best. I tried a channel master feed with an Inverto C120 white tech just to see, but it didn't perform as well. ( Also tried a Smart titanium twin, a Fortec star single, Smart titanium single, a Bigsat twin, an Inverto Silvertech single and a Sky quad LNB)

what lnb is on the dish now as i had a smart titanium lnb on a triax dish i used to have and that worked very well.

inverto dark ultra or something like that some have mentioned on here to be very good too.

The Inverto Black Ultra has been amazing here. For my application the S/N with this LNB has been superior to all of the following: the Invacom C120 quad plus CM feed, the Smart Titanium, and the Darkgold, all known to be excellent choices. I haven't tried the Inverto Silvertech twin.

I currently have a Star Max SM6000 dual lnbf 0.2 on the triax ..
It a fairly good reliable lnb ...but I suspect it isn't working my dish to the max ..

Just to let you know ..
Signal from Nilesat is around its peak for the evening at my location ..
I've just re-scanned all transponders ..
Number of channels has increased from 60+ to 87

..Dubai 0ne is now completely clear of artifacts ...and I'm aiming for this status throughout the entire evening.
..not just an hour viewable around 9pm /10pm

I'll be taking in all your LNB suggestions before I decide
cheers m8's

invacom might be the best but the cost is quite a lot compared with the other suggestions in this thread

where abouts you located as you must be down south to get a lock on 7west.

that gibertini 1.2m might have given you a boost on the 7west channels with it being 1.2m by 1.3m approx size

can you not get the 1.8m prime focus dish on 7west that will do better for signal

No m8 ..
Not down South ..more oop North
approx 5 miles out of manchester

..and I already have the 1.8 PF as you know....which is geared for C band now ..
Strange though it may seem I get as good results with the Triax 110 as I used to with the 1.8PF ..on Nilesat ..
I suspect that was the fault of the big dish ..as it is a solid steel 6 petal construction ...which are less prone to being perfectly focused ..
Works great for C band though ...which is ..I suspect.....what it was designed for origionally (20 years old)

Thinking of trying one of those just out of curiosity.:) I can get hold of the Inverto BLACK twin very easily, is this the same LNB?

Its ..sooo tempting m8 ....but too many tree huggers living around me ..
I might be tempted to take a couple of feet off the height in winter.
That would get me perhaps another 5> 10 degrees.

@ everyone ...As to the ongoing lnb debate .. looks like inverto might be the way to go ...but there is a bit of confusion for me ..
..in that there are 2 - the premium twin and the ultra twin..
Assuming the ultra is the 'weapon of choice' ...where can I get one in the uk ?
Can't find it on ebay ...and doesn't show up in a uk only google search..

Cheers m8 ..
My own fault I guess ..
I just copied the phrase 'IDLB-TWNL40-ULTRA-OPP' from Inverto's website into the search box ..
and nothing came back ...only a link to a question about it on this this BB
:)

I got lucky .................. :)

Just to make sure, I've "Binged" it too and got the same result: It seems Grax is your only source. I wonder what the price will turn out to be?
