Love the Auroras ... saw some last year in northern Sweden. Would love to see them again but now probably not until we have kids who are old but young enough to visit Santa up in Finnish Lapland.

This is from our camera on a tripod - I think 3-4 secs exposure... can't remember.

This is the same Aurora from further back not taken by me. Me and my girlfriend are the furthest one to the right (me bending down to see the camera!)

Nice photo CJ, you can even make out the double star in Ursa Major too!(Actually quadruple)

Yes indeed - went to town for my Bell-Ringing and it was a beautiful morning.

But an hour later it has all gone for a ball of fromage.
 
Walked to the bottom of our road last week and there was this most beautiful complete rainbow. Unfortunately my camera couldn't quite get all the arc in.

Haven't seen the sun for three weeks in Finland... mainly just rain.

That is good, as is the latter sunset pic.

My camera is currently eating batteries so I'm repairing a Samsung M800 compact thingy. My eyesight isn't wot it used to be though, so I may be some time.

Most of the country has been bare for quite a while, the US seems to have stolen it all. We were in Lapland for the New Year and even there it was raining for the first 3 days. Weird weather.
 
Had a real downpour this afternoon with a double rainbow at the end...

We've got a cat like that!
Last summer clattering in the chimney - cloud of soot out of the fireplace and one little owl appeared!

Loved having the owl flying around the house - hated the redecorating after it SH** all on the walls!!

Unfortunately the camera lens catches only about 20 degrees of arc, otherwise I would have got all of it.
