HI EVERYONE! I was at a car boot sale this morning and I picked up a Zgemma Star 2S box. It obviously must be satellite because it has DVBS2 on the front. I think it has two LNB inputs and a loop through. Could anyone advise what else this box has on it? Waiting of a new remote as the one for this was MIA.

CHEERS! :-respekt:-respekt

ADMIN! If I have posted in the wrong section, please move! :)

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Last time I looked it was an IPTV box with a bolt on tuner, much like the WeTek receivers.

Could it be used on a motorised dish?

It was probably used for Sky UK "with gift" - an illegal card share box.

If you cant get into the cam settings that would confirm it - if so flash a new image onto it and it'll be good as new.

You need a remote control to configure.
If it is the normal Zgemma Star 2S
It has 2 satellite tuner.
Tuner A, only input.
Tuner B, input and output, bad as solo.

Use tuner A, you can move motor with DiSEqC 1.2 control and also Usals / DiSEqC 1.3.
It is an Enigma2 receiver, it supports the images you have on the network, all are valid for free channels without doing anything else.
Load some and to work, if you need support, which I use is openspa, in all the models its operation is similar, luck.
---------
Necesitas un mando a distancia para configurar.
Si es el normal Zgemma Star 2S
Tiene 2 tuner de satelite.
Tuner A, solo entrada.

Thanks for all the replies! I don't think the CAM has been used. It will be interesting to try it on the Technomate motor and Gibby 1m dish. Still waiting of the remote at the moment and it will only be used for FTA channels anyway :)

Confirm if it's like the photo.
Use only tuner A.
Search the network for a list for the Technomate motor that has the channels you are looking for.

:-applause ok.

With the command, you can configure the receiver.
Depending on the software/image you have loaded, you can do many things ...
Install channel lists directly for example.
With the PC you can also make changes, installing channel lists and personalized with your favorites/bouquets.
See if you have passwd, put a fixed ip in the receiver to use your network and then in the PC browser you put the IP.
The receiver will show as a web and ask
user: root
passwd:
According to loaded image, leave blank and give enter.
If you have Openspa, the passwd is openspa.
If you do not let enter, you can reset the passwd, set factory values, not always delete the passwd.
If you can not enter, you would have to upload a new image and configure, but better now, play with the team a few days or forever.
-----------
