I have moved to Denmark. I got one 40 cm dish with me from Iceland that works here in Denmark (but not in Iceland). A short test allowed me to find 19.2E and it worked decently on that sat. I do not know if I got all the transponders, as this was just a test. Signal was around 90% and quality from 50 to 80% at best. But this was just a hand free test, so it was just a indicator of how things might be.
I do not know if there is a need for me to get a 50 to 65 cm dish. Due to how strong the signal is here in Denmark. At least according to my sat peeper the signal is strong enough on a 40 cm dish to be properly viewed and all.
Here is what I need to figure out. I don't have any balcony. But I have seen that people do have sat dishes where I live in Denmark. Even if this is a many apartment house (I don't know what you call it in english). I also need to figure out if I need a bigger dish then 40 cm size.
I am looking for 1 degree west. As I need to get Sjónvarpið channel (Icelandic). I do not know where it is properly given my location. But I have some idea.
Should I get a motor ? I want to get more satellites then just 1W. I was thinking about setting up a second dish. But that might not work here in Denmark. But I do not know about motors as they might be a nosy to use and I am often up at night and might want to switch between satellites at that time and by that move the motor into a new position.
I live in Sønderborg in Denmark. I do not know the location by degrees yet.
Thanks for the help.
