Hello,

I am an installer in the UK, and have been having problems with Channel 5 in different areas, the CBER is higher than it should be and getting lots of fragmenting. The dish is aligned, tried a new LNB etc. However we are having the problem on different developments of flats.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any problems with C5 at this moment? Its using the frequency 12422 H

Are there any mobile fone TXs nearby? They can, and often do, cause such problem/s
 
Can you explain the system a bit more. Is it multiple flats using one dish or single use dishes?
 
They are communal systems, sharing one dish. However they all started experiencing the same problem at the same time. and we are recievnig more and more of the same problem every day at different developments, 2 more in since I posted this.

However its been a problem since wednesday
 
What switch gear manufacture?
 
All different types of gear, some blocks contain 200 flats. Massive systems.

I was just asking to see if there is any known problems with that transponder? As it is too much of a coinidence that they all go down at the same time.

I have heard C5 is moving frequency soon?
 
Channel five has moved from 2C to 2A recently.
 
Is this problem at the dish. Have you seen the signal direct off the dish. You say you have tried a new lnb but can you see the problem there or is it "developing" later in the system.

It is happening directly off the dish, and is in all instances. We are getting so many complaints of channel 5 and bloomberg not working...

But can not find out whats going on with the channels
 
What is your location?
Be specific if you can so can view on google earth.
