My Satellite Setup
Computer set up P2p Streaming to viewers

Hi Satellites Forum,

I am new to here. Hop some body will support me here.
I am new to this broadcasting field. before this i worked as account.
Due to recession i lost my job and looking for other things to do. In this way i got copyright from one of the satellite channels from India for internet streaming. Here it goes and the following support i needed.

I receive the signal in MPEG-4 format using Set-top-box given by satellite operator. I needed to connect it to internet.

1) I am 13:30 hours back to the original satellite operator. So, If i directly broadcast then the users in USA receives night time programs. They are not interested by viewers. I wanted to rebroadcast after 13:30 hours after original signal received. means i needed to record 13:30 hours signal.

Question: How can i record this. I wanted to use any external hard disk drive of 1 TB. How can i do this.

3) I am receiving MPEG-4 i needed to convert this to WMV9 by editing and removing some part of the program. Ex: some advertisements etc.

Encoding Parameters

Total bitrate : 360k
Video : 319k
Video Codec : Windows Media Video 9 Advanced
Audio : 32k
Audio Codec : Windows Media Audio 9.2
Screen Size : 362 x 242
Frame rate : 29.97 fps
Key frame : 8 seconds
Two-pass encoding
Deinterlace
NTSC
WMV

The software should accept the above parameters and should be encoded.

Any other software that can cut the program with ease and fast.

Thanks in advance.

I'd imagine you are looking at ex-broadcast kit to do all that.

However googling p2ptv brings up this rather interesting article which may give you a starting point:

Hi,

I am not looking for all the complete packge.

To say in 2 to words,

Receiving signal thru STB from operator,

needed to save that to hard disk drive for 13:30 Hours,

edit, encode MPEG-4 to WMV 9 as per norms.

Then i will be start broadcasting.

My requirment is not about brodcasting.

About saving data on HDD, edit and encode to WMV9.

Thanks.

I know your requirement isnt broadcasting, but you have some pretty specialised requirements there. I was trying to explain you may need to look at ex broadcast kit to do some of the more specialised jobs.

Im a bit puzzled about this bit though:

Receiving signal thru STB from operator

STB??? How are you expecting to get Indian channel(s)??

And which channel are you wanting??
