Got DM500s with Neutrino.Dream Plus image on. I used to run Pli-Jade with CCcam 2.0.11. But since I'm trying to hook up the box to my Mythbuntu backend, it has to be Neutrino. MythTV doesn't support Enigma based image due to difference in GUI.
My problem is with encrypted channels where the picture keeps breaking up every dozen seconds or so. Screen returns to normal after anywhere from half a second to 3 seconds. With Pli-Jade and the same CCcam 2.0.11, this was rarely a problem. I have a Irdeto v.2 smartcard, which limits what I can use for emu somewhat. No, I'm not sharing either.
Anyway, it's been mentioned that running camptserver in the background might help and I even FTP it up to /var/bin. But any attempt to invoke camptserver.ppc ends up with -sh camptserver: not found error message. How exactly do I run camptserver.ppc in the background? For the record, I tried invoking camptserver from the command line to no avail. I did notice that the error message is the same as trying to invoke CCcam from the command line.
Can I try other emu? I used to play around with Scam on Pli-Jade, but it's an iffy proposition. The cam hung up with unpredictable frequency and hung up hard when it did. The worst that CCcam does is to cause image stuttering which returns to normal very quickly.
