There is some new windoze software available that offers blindscan support for the
Omicom S2 PCI rev.3 (all demod versions), Prof 7301, Prof 8000 and the TechnoTrend S2-1600. I can confirm (at least with my 7301) that it works, and very well too! Here's a link to Rick's satellite forum as it has the download links as well as some discusion on it.

It comes with another programme called crazyscan that plots the IF range similar to a spectrum analyser, interesting to view the varying noise floor and see spikes from transponders.

Thanks, seems to be working but only picking up channels with 27500 SR

Have you altered the minimum SR in the ini file, it's set to 20000 as a default, I guess to speed up the scan. I've lowered mine right down to 2000 and while it does take a fair bit longer to complete the scan it does find most of the transponders on each sat.

I normally use DVB Dream, not sure if it's a limitation of that or the hardware but it won't find transponders with a SR lower than 1000 when scanning a transponder list.

; Minimal symbol rate for BlindScan in KS (1000-50000), default 1000
MinSR=1000

Mine was set to 10000 but lowered it to 1000 and still only getting 27500

Might be worth asking on Ricks forum, one of the posters is, I believe involved with the project and may be able to help.
