Just Sharing This New French HD Channels

As part of CanalSat changing to "all HD" broadcast from the 1st July, Most of the TNTSat channels (those transmitted by Canal) are also going to be available in HD as well (even though simulcasting will continue for TNTSat until early next year).

The following HD services have started testing and open with an official TNTSat card:

12168V
Service ID 9309 - Carrying France 3 HD 1440x1080i (upscaled)

12207V
Service ID 9008 - Carrying France 5 HD 1440x1080i (upscaled)

11817V
TEST MZZ - Carrying D8 HD 1440x1080i (native HD)

12246V
Service ID 6609 - Carrying Gulli HD 1440x1080i (upscaled)
Service ID 6608 - Carrying France Ô HD 1440x1080i (upscaled).

Yesterday there was also another service on 11817V carrying W9 HD unencrypted (the D8 HD feed was unencrypted too), but as of today both these feeds are encrypted and only D8 HD is opening via a TNTSAT card.

I think France 5 HD might actually be proper HD. It certainly looks quite good this morning.

France 3 HD on the other hand is pretty bad (the normal SD feed never seems brilliant either and I think this must just be an upscale of that). I've heard that France 3 will go native HD "later in the year" though.
 
NT1 and TMC are both 1920x1080i and transmitting in actual HD rather than being upscaled now too. At least as of tonight when I've just checked!

They're seemingly making progress with getting everything across to native HD, even if it is a bit slow!

The main missing ones now are all the France Télévisions channels (other than France 2) which are still upscaled. France 5 is pretty good upscaling but it is definitely not native HD.
