New freq on 36E

Not so much. R-HD started test broadcasting in local UHF range, only "HD" on it, is in it's name :). We also know the name of 2nd channel to be aired - 1K (1st cauassian). This channel currently available only via online streaming: _ttp://www.1k-tv.com/ As rumours say, these 2 channels will be broadcast from 36E from 15 January (The date from which circular polarized channels will be aired from it), and will use Circular polarisation, since, mostly oriented to Russian/Ukraine viewers.
 
But then Eutelsat have taken off the African channels from the Europe Beam - couldnt they have 'EurAfrica' same as 'Eurasia' beam?? Eurafrica beam would definitely have investors, tourists, etc wanting to continue having these broadcasted over Europe - i know I am...I am already missing TPA, RTNC, TBC1, Zimbo, and NTV Kenya!

today started new frequencies for MultipleChoice Africa on 11882 V 27500 3/4 in DVB-S MPEG-2.

At the moment in clear: ESPN Africa, Hallmark, Cartoon Network Africa, CNN, MTV, History Channel, MNET Testkarte and Supersport 6.

Also new on, but encrypted, 12054 H 27500 3/4 in DVB-S MPEG-2 and 12246 H 27500 3/4 in DVB-S MPEG-2.

I can get this beam here in southwestern of Germany with Kathrein 220cm PFA.

With a 2.4m Channel Master Dish i get 11747 H,11823 H,11996 V,12073 V,12054 H,
11882 V,12245 H,12034 V,11882 v.

Hi dx qwer,yes same results and the best thinking is KTN Kenya is coming in around 70% on 12034 V,
i might search for a viewing card so i won`t have to keep on changing the lnb for c-band.
And turning the dish to 5 West for KTN Kenya.

yes KTN on AB3 has higher signal level now. I suppose this is deliberately done to allow Multichoice to pick it and insert it in the new bouquet on Eutelsat W7.
 
Things getting hotter on 36E :)

The new Russian language channel from Georgia was switched off from that sat by EUTELSAT for oficially unclear reasons. As talks going on, Russian government was VERY angry with thins channel, so eutelsat was "asked" to get rid of it...

Eutelsat is really in big trouble, since on the one hand, Russia is it's biggest customer for 36E position, and also has confirmed reputation of unstable-minded guys with nuclear boo-boos, on the other hand, messing up with U.S. Funded "democratic" projects is not always safe... :D
