I cant check these but the info here is given in good faith from news off the DS forum.

3857 - ESPN America HD
3858 - Five HD (ftv)
 
Just checked Five HD on my HDR and it's showing as encrypted in Videoguard.
 
Both clearing but no pictures, just flickering along the top but now and next EPG showing that they are ESPN America and Five. Not DVB-S2
 
Both still showing as "Scrambled or Not Available" on the HDR. I wonder why?

That with a sky card or FTA?
 
Just pixel flicker on 3858 (Dreambox 8000 + CCCam and Sky card).
 
FTA. There's no CAM availalble to use a Sky card (assuming I had one).

AS's original post said that Five HD was FTA, I'm saying not any more.

No I didnt:

3858 - Five HD (ftv)

Theres no chance of C5 HD being fta anytime soon - they are tied up in a Sky deal to get it on air
 
Yeah, got the flicker but only with Sky Card
 
Bit rates seem far too high for my Dreambox. 14 MBits/S. At least with a CAM I could set the rate high when I used it on the Bulsat channels. Don't know of any way to do it with just the card.

Thats because both channels *are* encrypted - and will remain so.
 
The parameters have changed to Sky's standard DVB-S2 format, i.e. QPSK, 29500, 3/4.

3858 has five's EPG but is showing Sky 1 (Simpsons on at the moment). I can't verify 3857 as my 6 mix card won't clear it.
 
D'ohhh must read posts properly. Even so I was under the impression that Five HD won't be FTV but only available with a minimum Sky subscription.
 
Sky One HD at present on 3858. As Ratchet said, DVB-S2, QPSK, 29500, 3/4.

Don't have a SKY+ HD box, so screenshot taken using Hauppauge Nova HD card, DVB Viewer Pro, NDSCam and CAS 3+ in Phoenix mode with basic Sky card.

Quite possible. They are still only on engineering tests at the moment - and are showing Sky 1 instead of C5 anyway.

Yes - as I posted a couple of days ago. Seeing as Sky have done a deal with C5 to get the HD channel off the ground theres a very good chance it will go ful scrambled on launch.
 
Currently watching Five HD: Horizontal 29500 FEC 3/4 - ID 3858 DVB-S2. Using DVBViewer, Acamd and newcs serving Sky card. Sound is out of sync!
