New in Dreambox (8000) Please help

Hello every one,
I have got my spanking NEW DM8000 Yersterday and your help and tips will be verry much appreciated.
I read in this forum and other ones that you you can change the image, Flashing firmware, plugins,etc....
I do want get everything and I do not want miss a sincle chanel.
So I'm all hears and get all your knowledge and feedback.
So please HELP so I can help others

Hi ladybreaker, welcome to the forum. After a long absence, you've finally managed a first post

Plenty of information in this very section. As a newcomer to the DM8000, take a while read up on it, and any questions in particular I'm sure somebody will help you along the way.

All the info you require can be found on the forum - get reading as DB's/Linux boxes are a completely different beastie from normal receivers.

Theres very little open on keyas and patches these days, so you will be looking at a lot of black screens when you hit the scrambled channels.
