New ITV1 HD labels testing

New test label up on 11067V which will probably be for one of the new regions - SID 20826

Its been a while since the last ITV HD/STV HD launch but the 3 missing STV HD services are due to start tomorrow

STV East
STV North Aberdeen
STV North Tayside / Dundee

Which should then leave the following services still to be launched

Anglia East
Border Scotland
Central East
Channel TV
Meridian South
Meridian Thames Valley
Yorkshire East

Anglia East HD already launched a couple of years ago :) I watch this one as it does have some local news for my location,

Anglia West HD still waiting here in the East of England for this one to launch in HD

I will have a quick scan at 28.2 east to see if there are any changes.

But they have launched today :D

FTA on the European bean (no doubt temporarily)

Over a year since the last change but ITV1 Yorkshire East HD is now testing:

11068V
23000 3/4
DVB-S2 8PSK
tagged as 20820

Six still to go as of 27/8/20

Anglia West
Border Scotland
Central East
Channel TV
Meridian South
Meridian Thames Valley

I would imagine Central East or one of the Meridians will be the next one in terms of biggest audiences. Border Scotland & Channel will be the last two as they have tiny audiences compared to the others.

Regional News is on later today, so I will be able to identify what regions then.

Yes, both 12168V and 12363V are UK spotbeam transponders (operated by Sky).

Apart from short duration tests or switching errors all fta ITV's will always be on the UK beam due to rights issues.

Yes the only hope that leakage be bigger for Spain. They should´nt be so worried about rights as its possible to get the beam here.

I hope you do soon, with adding 3 more today, ITV won't be far off a full set.

Atm at least 2 of them just look like transponder moves to me.

Unless they are being set up for new regions with other regionss on the capacity in the interim just for testing purposes. (eg ITV London HD launched years ago)

Your probably right.

I would say that currently it difficult to identify Central East as the local news which I watch every day seem to go between being an East West split and a combination of East and West news items.
I think it depends on the volume of new items, it certainly went on a combination of East and West from the start of lockdown. Last few weeks I think it's been splitting on and off with seemingly no pattern. Today's was combined.

Central East no longer has any significant presence in Nottingham. The studios were flogged off years ago. What remains of the old east split almost certainly comes from Birmingham or Leeds.
