Just Sharing This New Scam phonecall

Interesting call on my mobile today from a scammer, probably African, claiming to be the City County Court (no such court) and that there was a cheque for £3,100 waiting to be delivered by a certified delivery agent, for PPI claim with a credit card company (one which I have), he did have my address, but that isn't difficult to get. He claimed the delivery agent would give me the cheque after I'd deposited £250 onto a Paysafe card and given it to him over the phone. After patiently listening to the whole pitch I commented that he must think I'm stupid if he expects me to pass over £250 to a stranger in exchange for a fake cheque for a PPI claim which didn't exist. He assured me that it was genuine, but hung up when I couldn't contain my laughter.

The number he left for return calls was 02081449105, but the number he called from showed up as unknown.

If I have enough spare time I'll encourage them to rabbit on a bit before telling them they're a filthy scammer and they should eff off and die.

If I'm in a hurry I'll skip the encouragement.
 
I'm still waiting for my seventeen free Boilers to be fitted.
 
I keep getting the I have been involved in an accident.

They keep using a withheld number.

I tell them where to go!
 
I have caller ID that shows up on the TV and also gives an audible announcement, on unknown and out of area calls where I don't recognize the number,(the answering machine checks the incoming call to my list of friends and tells me who is calling) I let it go to my special message.

It says "Hi this is the refrigerator, the answering machine is busy, gimme a message and I will stick it to myself with a magnet"....They never call back again.....If my friends get this message they know I am not home, but will leave a message.
 
......and gullible to Spam Calls from Bangalore using the "offer" to mine personal data .....
