My Satellite Setup
Ancient Maspro dish (20 years old ) cannot upgrade LNB to digital
My Location
UK - SW Essex
Advice needed please! I have an ancient (20-year-old) Maspro dish with an analogue lnb. Last time I was in Germany I bought a digital lnb - but the local satellite installer informed me yesterday that the Maspro is too old (and brittle) for the new lnb to be installed. I do have a digital Skymaster DXL 9160 receiver

So.. my needs are as follows :-

1. New Panasonic TV needs HD feed for UK transmissions
2. Wife is German (Berliner) so need (HD also?) feed for German TV

TIA

Well you need access to Astra 2 at 28E and Astra 1 at 19.2E as a minimum.

So you'll need, for example, an 80cm or so Dish with a multi-LNB arm.

Not sure what you mean by HD Feeds as the Dish, LNB, Cable are the same for HD as for Standard Definition.

The HD elements are the Receiver(s), Display Equipment and HDMI interconnecting lead(s).

As you have an HD Ready TV, you need an HD capable Receiver. If you do not already have one, the Humax Foxsat HD is multi-Satellite capable. (I have no idea of the spec. of your Skymaster !!)

Edit: Is the Panasonic TV one of the Freesat integrated ones?

Thanks for the advice. The TV is a Panasonic TX-P37X10B, not one of the Freesat integrated ones I'm afraid.
