Just seen this on the TM blog..

Yes that right. A new receiver has landed with us today. Its not been unpacked just yet, but as soon as its out of the box, it will be taken apart, photographed, flashed, and reviewed

Stay tuned…….

If I am reading / understanding your post correctly, have they got a new box made by ????? they intend to copy? That is the way I read it!

I assume they have a new box manufactured which was announced just after Christmas, and they are going to flash the firmware to it, no doubt made in China.

Then why the comment,
" as soon as its out of the box, it will be taken apart, photographed "
Copy comes to mind, sorry if your a TM fan

After all the research Technomate did with their customers into the features they want, on the Technomate forum, I hope we are not disappointed!

Will it do 4.2.2. that is the question...

More interesting is the tuner sensitivity for fringe reception,

will keep my eyes on this box and hope:D

Regards

Letting android take control of satellite decoding isn't a good idea. If its running android like the Evo Xfinity, Prismcube Ruby and Amiko A3 then its going to be a none starter and certainly not one i would contemplate buying unless its very very cheap.

Maybe, but my A3 downloads more Ka channels off 16E than any other box I own..

Thats good to hear Scopus, nice to see the A3 has a use after all :D

I had one for a few days which i borrowed from a friend and to be honest i cant say i was that impressed with it, but its all down to personal preference at the end of the day.

I suppose you could say “one man's trash is another man's treasure

Not to keen on the GUI and that dammed wand remote is a bloody pain sometimes, and no parameter control on blind scan but works well enough. The latest firmware is about the best yet.

More info required if the new release is Linux then unless they have improved the Blind Scan capabilities to find Sports feeds ect added 4:2:2 with codec + Biss, 4K , IPTV & multi-streams it will not have a very long shelf life with the demise of the other popular way to watch tv in 9 months let us hope that Technomate has listened to our advice over the last 2 years.

Not Sure about the so called Android receiver but ithink this new box review relates to the new TM-Nano-SE Plus Linux receiver with 1 fixed tuner and 1 plug and play tuner

Hope not. The market is flooded with Linux recievers of many brands.
