Hi Guys,

Total Newbie to the world of Sat TV here, I am looking into investing in a motorised sat system. I was thinking of buying a Dreambox but am not sure what model would suit me best the same with the Sat.
I need the capacity to run at least two boxes from the dish and wonder if the second box could be configured to run two tvs each watching different programmes (the wonder of having kids). Can anyone give me some good advice on the above please?
I am located in Central Scotland about 15 miles from Glasgow, any ideas on price would be helpful too.

Ta,

Hi Swally,

To run two TVs watching different progs, each would need its own receiver, So you'd want 3 in total.

That would mean using a quad LNB, with one spare output.

Only one receiver would be able to drive the motor.

A 1m diseqc motorised dish, does most people, it depends on your budget. The same goes for which Dreambox you decided to get.

Robbo,

Thanks for the reply, what would I need here then? -

1m diseqc motorised dish (how much are these and does it include a bracket)
4 x LNBs
3 dream boxes (would like a fairly decent ones, how much would these be and would you be able to card share?)
cable n clips (is there a particular type of cable I would need?)

Sorry to be an absolute amatuer.

That was a quad LNB, not four singles.

Budget around £100 for motor and dish.

T+K Brackets buy separately, if a bracket comes in a kit, it will be rubbish.

Never bought a Dreambox, check their websites for models and specs available, and you can check the prices for yourself.

Use wf100 or similar quality cable.

I don't answer CS questions, check out the Dreambox section, there is info there.

T&K brackets can be had for 20 quid from fleabay....a good hammerdrill
and 5 x M10 rawbolts which can be had from most stores but
screwfix under the Kingston Bridge is cheapest.
As Rob says the brackets you get with dishes are crap go with the T&K.
