newbie needs help on changing keys

A friend of mine bought a box last year which came with what he was told was a platinum card. the card has 'SODO' written on it. The box no longer works, i assume because the cable netowrk have changed their keys.

What i am trying to find out is what do i need to buy/use to change the keys on the card?

What card programmer should i purchase, and what software do i need?

I don't think there are many files for OPOS cards, the support for this card seems to have stopped. Hopefully somebody with an OPOS card can post better news, personally I never bought one.
Which version of the card has he got, 1.03 or 1.05?
