I'm new to the sat scene so pls bear with me:confused:
If I add a frequency (manually) in my receiver do I have to do a search in order to be used or it is being used automatically??
 
Yes, basically when you add the transponder details (frequency, polarity, Symbol Rate and FEC etc) you then need to tell the receiver to scan that transponder for actual channels. It may contain either one or many, and they may be radio, TV or data.
