My Satellite Setup
88cm
My Location

Hey guys, just bought my first satellite setup, it's going to be delivered on monday :D

I got:
Triax TD 88cm Dish
Dark Motor Superior
Spiderbox 7000HD
IceCrypt 0.1db LNB

Latitude : 53.79371
Longitude : -3.02424

Going to attempt installation myself in order to save some pennies

Just wanted to make sure I have an idea of what i'm doing.

1. Mount bracket on south facing wall making sure mast is 100% vertical
2. Set latitude on the motor to the latitude of where my house is.
3. Assemble dish and attach lnb
4. Attach dish to motor
5. Attach dish to bracket
6. Hook up all the wires
7. Use reciever to select Thor 1W and fine tune to get best signal
8. Use USALS to check for all other satellites.

Please correct me if I have something wrong as I am going to be installing it on monday :D

Something important that you have missed, and that is to check the line of sight to all the satellite you want is OK from your proposed mounting position.

And when you say fine tune in 7. that means outside at the dish.
 
Yeah fine tune as in physically moving the dish to the best position. And yes the mounting position has a clear view of the sky. :)
