[QUOTE="gameboy, post: 129288, member: 177511"] Equipment needed :- Dreambox 7000, 7020. Multiboot enabled Pheonix compatible reader (serial version). 12v power adaptor for pheonix reader. Hard Disk or USB stick. Gbox emu 1.35 (Can be found on most upload centers/ Note the files must have the GBoxKeyGen) S*y Uk/Italia NDS Card S*y UK/Italia receiver Decimal to Hex convertor (Windows Calculator) 1) Obtaining the Hexadecimal values of your S*y card and receiver S*y Card If you look on the back of your S*y UK/Italia card you will see a 9 digit number across the middle. e.g 123 456 789 Take away the last number of this 9 digit number so you are left with an 8 digit number. e.g 123456789 becomes 12345678 Open up Windows Calculator or your Convertor. In Calculator click View Scientific. Make sure that Decimal "Dec" is selected. Type in your 8 digit number into Calculator and now click on "Hex". This will give you a 6 or 7 digit Hex number. You need to make this 8 digits long. To do this you need to put in 0's at the start of the number. So if it is 6 digits long then put in two 0's at the start of the number. If its 7 digits long then put in one 0. e.g. 12345678 becomes BC614E (6 digits) so becomes 00BC614E. This is your hexadecimal Card Serial. Write this down. BoxID To obtain your BoxID you need to go into your receiver information. On a S*y UK box this can be done by using the Services button, System Setup menu, option 5, 'System Details'. Your Receiver serial number will be a 10 digit number. You need to make this an 8 digit number by taking the two 0's off the start of the number. e.g. 0012345678 becomes 12345678. Now you need to convert this number to Hex by using the same procedure as stated for your Card serial. You also need to make the number 8 digits long by inserting 0's at the start of the Hex number like the Card Serial. Write this second number down. You will need to write down which number is which. 2) Creating your NDS file for GBox If you have downloaded the correct GBox files you will have a GBoxKeyGen. To get the KeyGen working you need to run reg.bat which will register SecureCrypt.ocx in your system registry. You now need to open GBoxKeyGen and type in your Card Serial and BoxID that you obtained in Part 1. When you have typed in both numbers click the "Click to create NDS file" button. This will give you the information you need in the text box below your serials. You need to copy this to your computers clipboard. Select all the text. Right mouse button and copy. Open up Notepad or any text editor. Paste the text into notepad. All the text should remain on the first line in your text editor. If not then delete any carraige returns. Save the file as NDS with no extension. If your using notepad then click on *.txt and change it to *.* before typing in NDS in the filename box. If the file has the .txt extension then it will not work. You now have all the files. 3) Making sure the image will work with Gbox. If you have a 108 or lower image installed then it is advisable to upgrade to a 109 image. I have found that I could not get Gbox to work when running the image from the flash. This does not mean that the emulator will not work when the image is in the flash it means I couldn't get it to work. I will explain how to get the emu to work on an image installed on a hard disk. You need to make sure you have Multiboot enabled on your dreambox with an image installed on the hard disk before continuing with the rest of this guide. 4) FTP the files across to your dreambox Using your selected FTP client you need to copy the following files accross to your dreambox to the following locations. Make sure you put the files in the HDD/fwpro/[image name]/var and not just /VAR NDS --> HDD/fwpro/[image name]/var/keys softcam.cfg --> HDD/fwpro/[image name]/var/keys gbox_cfg --> HDD/fwpro/[image name]/var/keys gbox --> HDD/fwpro/[image name]/var/bin 5) Check the emulator is working. Make sure your pheonix reader is set to Pheonix mode and is working at the 3.57 or 3.58 frequency. They are jumpers on mine that are used to change it. They may be different on yours I do not know as I don't have what you have. Now connect the pheonix reader to the back of your dreambox via the serial port, plug the power lead in and insert your S*y card into the phoenix reader. Before adding the emulator to your emu list you can check it is working. To do this you are going to have to telnet your dreambox. So reboot your dreambox and boot to the image you have just installed the GBox emu to. Select Common Interface in your emulator list. This is done to make sure no emulator is using the card slots. Now press Menu --> Expert Setup. Make sure that "Do not open serial port" is NOT selected. Now reboot your dreambox. Telnet your dreambox I use windows telnet but you can use others. Click Start --> Run type in telnet then press return. telnet will open. Now type in o IP.of.dreambox change this to the IP of your dreambox You should be taken to the login page. If not then check that the IP is correct. Login is usually - root and pass usually is - dreambox If they aren't this then you must know what they are because you have changed em. You will then be taken to the command prompt. Type in cd /var/bin [return] then chmod 755 gbox then ./gbox this will run the emulator and you can see all the information on the screen in front of you. What you are looking for is after Card Init 3. If nothing is displayed and you get entering main loop then your pheonix reader is either not connected properly or not set correctly. If you have done everything correctly then your card will be recognised and identified. If you get an error like this This file is for NDS card 223XXXXXXXXX then you have not written the NDS file correctly. Go up to step 1 and try again. If you don't get any errors and all is ok then you can now edit the emulator list. To stop GBox press Ctrl + C It might take 15 seconds to stop. 4) Editing the emulator list. I am going to show you how to edit the Hydra Pheonix emu list. There are guides dotted around the internet for other images this is just a rough guide. Download a copy of your smartcam.config file from your dreambox. Do this via FTP. The file is located in /hdd/fwpro/[image name]/var/tuxbox/config Now open this file in note pad and insert the following osd-name X= GBOX emulator X= Gbox [v.1.37] camd X= daemon X= gbox kill X= gb sleep X= 4 zap-sleep X= 4 change X for the number you want Gbox to appear in the list. Be careful not to allocate a number already used. Save the file and upload it to the location you got it from. Now reboot your dreambox. Turn to a S*y channel. ITV usually is a good one to test on. Press the blue button and select Gbox then start the emu. [/QUOTE]
