Sorry for the newbie post, i have searched but cant seem to find an answer.
Specifically for sly uk, i have dm800 with newcs and cccam installed. I dont understand why both are needed. As i understand it newcs reads the card,nds3, and cccam is a client of newcs. If thats the case, to setup a server (internal for home network) all i need on a linux box is newcs1.67 then only cccam on dm's. Is this correct? Also are the updates possible with newcs or does the card have to go back to the sly box every month?
Hope someone can help, hair being pulled out regularly, posting is my last resort.
one last question, the boxkey in newcs, is that in full or the 8 digit hex converted version? doesnt seem to be clear in newcs only cccam.
