Having problems refitting my 1.2 Andrews dish due to height restrictions. I am probaly going to downsize to a 1m dish. Whats considered the best to go for as I still want to use my Jaeger motor.

well a 1metre channel master dish as it would bolt straight on to the adapter plate, you have the smr 1224 motor ?

Do they do a 1 metre Channel Master dish? I looked but never came accross one. Will have to do a Google to see. Can I use the same Inverto LNB and matched Matched feedhorn although I was considering using a dual lnb to keep the girls happy.

they are still made andrews is no more and was bought by raven which is now skyware global. the dish is listed here _http://www.skywareglobal.com/Pages/Product_VSAT.aspx under receive only antenna "type 100"

Looks like just the job. Pity I can't find a s/h one or do a swap for my 1.2m, which in fact measures about 1.3m. If it actualy measured 1.2m I could have just got away with it but a 1m will work out best. I suppose I could turn the 1.2m into a pebble pool.

Not that I want to cause ripples in the Andrews Appreciation Association, but have you considered either the 1M Gibertini or a Triax TD110 as possible alternates? I used the Gibertini for quite a while with excellent results until that uncontrolled feeling of needing a bigger dish overcame me LOL. It's a really well built, solid dish.

However, if you want to keep to an Andrews I can only applaud you for an excellent choice!!

....and just to add 'weight' to one of Petes suggestions..
I am very happy with my somewhat weighty TD110 ..

An excellent compromise between size and performance ...plus a very solid build.

Try this one Eb*y: 320728270880 (1m channelmaster Dish)

Looks the same as a Channel Master. Is it the same?

Yes it's the same dish, look at the picture of the back of the dish it has the 4 mounting bolt holes and will fit straight on to your 1224 motor.

then fit your lnb but I am using a inverto black ultra twin on my dish over the feedhorn.

I'm thinking of getting one myself for a fixed on 5east.

The seller says it is an Andrews so I bought one at £70 it was a bargain although the carrier is expensive. Now who is going to persuade me to go for a twin lnb as I am not that clued up about them.

You get a wall mount with it too in the description, which you can sell on ? LNB wise you can't go wrong with inverto black ultra twin lnb cost about 25 pound.

Thanks wod, I am slowly getting there. It appears from my readings on the web that I am unable to use the matched feedhorn on my 1m dish, is this correct. If so it looks like I am ditching some good gear just to enable a better setup regarding E to W view.

yes, you can but people have found the feedhorn + c120 lnb to give lower signal reading compared quality lnbf's from inverto, smart, mti etc.

on my channel master both 90cm and 1.2m dishes, I have the inverto black ultra twin which is very good.

you could sell the feed and lnb with the 1.2m dish if you sell it on ?

Thanks for the info. I am getting rid of the dish so may as well get rid of the feedhorn and lnb. Looking around there are plenty about but a few quid would be nice as it was only on the wall for a year. Maybe a 99p start on Fleebay. Still think about a twin lnb but would then need a twin tuner box and this can be an expensive hobby but with 2 women to keep happy it often works out cheaper if they are both satisfied.

Dish came today so that was quick. Fantastic bargain and it is a Channel Master. All the bits included. Thanks for the tip off. I had seen it but because it was listed as Tooway I skipped by it. I may even work in the drizzle as I am on a roll.......:D

is the tooway a sticker on the dish as I'm thinking of buying one myself and would want to take that off.who was the courier? As it should be next day shipping for the price.

The Tooway sticker peels off. Parcelforce 48 hour but I ordered mine around 1pm and it arrived at 10am next day.

Is the inverto black ultra twin a straight swap as I noticed they appear to be 40mm.

yes it fits straight in the lnb clamp.

I have found the lnb position to be best when the lnb is halfway as the twin has room for adjustment to find the best focal point.
