Reported as having "improved coverage of western Europe & Poland" It would be a shame if 13E went down the route of specific beams after being widebeam for so many years

It is almost certain that specific beams will be designed for Poland.

Can you elaborate on your reply are you referring to “Eutelsat Quantum" or Hotbird's 13F & 13G ?

Eutelsat Quantum may move to 33.1 east west where there is a Polish transponder then allow Eutelsat 33E to maybe move to 12.5 west ?

But the New HotBirds 13F & 13G will almost certainly stay on the wide beam as mentioned in the above post.

We have no way of knowning at the moment what the new 13E beams will be like. The only definite information released has been "improved coverage to western Europe & Poland." My own belief for that statement is that there will be increased power over that geographic area so smaller dishes can be used.

Hmmm, 'dynamic reconfiguration'. Sounds like the broadcasters will be dictating where the signals end up.

Bigger dishes all round then, unless they move into a rollout of the same technology as 9E Ka band stuff.

Missing from the 2018/2019 reference document is 12.5 west ?

I see that the Russians plan a higher capacity satellite Express-AMU4 11° West Q4 2020 Proton-M/Briz-M Baikonur 200/39 planned launch is now 2021
Ekspress communications satellite, 11F639

Does this mean that Eutelsat will continue with frequency plan sharing @ 11°west /12.5° west as Eutelsat 12 West B is now station keeping @ 12.5° west until Eutelsat move another satellite here the current candidates are Eutelsat Quantum / Eutelsat 7A / Eutelsat 5 West B,

Or maybe Eutelsat will not operate a satellite @ 12.5°west anymore allowing Express AMU4 @ 11°west more of the Ku band to operate in ?

Hmmm, beam hopping now within reach at Ku band.

Interference pattern generation will allow nulling for regions at a whim, just as SaorSat proved at Ka band.

That, of course on top of the other provider opportunities.

This new antenna technology complements new generation fully digital payloads where the operator can thus change the orbit position, frequencies and the power of their spacecraft.

This year's Universal Registration Document is out:
Noteworthy:
"EUTELSAT 12 West B has been de-orbited early October". As we knew already.
Eutelsat 7A had name Eutelsat 59B while at 59.7°E. This satellite now at 30.9°E probably is called Eutelsat 31B, but this URD doesn't confirm that.
Eutelsat 7C expected lifetime is until Q3 2057. Let's wait and see if that's true!
