Nilesat 201

The footprint for 201 looks alot better then I thought it would!

Seems like it will be good for people wanting 7w

Just saw the footprint And I think the oposite. The beam it's focused on North Africa so the reception in Europe it will be very poor. Maybe on South Europe it will be possible to catch anything, but above that it will be very hard.
Let's wait and see after the bird start working...

NileSat 201 will need same equipment as badr 6 and 5..
they beam shaping technique nowadays will not allow fringe reception at all..
i guess you will need 2.4 m dish to be able to receive it in southern UK
it won't be interessting sat...it will only replace the nilesat 101...these channels on 101 will be lost in europe as soon as 201 is brought in working..i guess.

AFAIK Atlantic Bird 4A is supposed to stay at 7W until Atlantic Bird 7 is launched in a couple of years.

Nilesat 201 is testing now at 10.24ْ w , but just test carriers .
Anybody got an idea when the bird is going to be fully operated at 7ْ w ??

just found on google this footprint map!!
yesterday,i scan the ab4 satellite,with my 3.0 m channel master dish,since motor has been replaced,after a lighting strike,its posibly now after long waiting to test this postion!
ab4 is a very strange beam,the beam shows me,that it ends in middle of italy,i got the most transponders in 10-11 ghz range normal dvb s,but the signal on some are real low,with exact scew adjustment,signal not higher then 37% on dvb 2000 some,like korea tv with arabian subtitels have only 2c,got alot of artifacts on most tuners,also dreambox,with the very sensitiv sharp clark tech tuner working very well!
sadly,the osn hd transponder,i got 60% signal on clark tech after long adjustment,but it seem to be hd 8psk needs more power to get a lock,currencly only 3% are mising,i wondering about this,when standar symbolrates of 27500 are using,350 km more sout direction,i got confirmed showtime hd works hard on the limit with a 2.40m dish,now i have to wait,until temperature goes to 0 in the night,then i hope i can catch osn hd,short before the target--.,but not yet reached.!
there are alot channels of ab4,if it nesarsary,i can make more picutres!

do you get al jazeera sport hd transponder there??

what is the freqency of this programm,on lyngsat i found al jazzera sport but in normal dvbs on 12284 V ,with standart symbol rates an parameters!
there is also a new sport hd package on ab 4 called admc sport on 2 freqencys,do you mean this?
freqency 11432 V
and 11449H wiuth 2 7500 5/6!
the strongest from ab4 is here 10719 V,works also with gregory 1.25m,got only 2 transponder with smaler dish sizes,shortly i hope programm will starts on nilsat 201!
then it will be exiting,to read the updates of this topic,from many countrys!

In Kenya the main headache for DSTV will be abu dhabi sports HD package which has 2 frequencies slotted on Nilesat 201. Decoder plus 12 month subcribtion is only about 250$ { 999AED }
Most people pay Dstv premium package for mainlylive epl sports which costs about 60$ per month.
For the rest of the packages, the are easily available through card sharing and i have a receiver called DW750 HD on standby for that.

There's nothing there. Are you sure you haven't got something leaking in across a diseqc switch, or from some other source? I took a spectrum image a few days ago from 7ºW and nothing appears to have changed since then.

My bad...I got CNN int which is on 12073h and which gives me "same tp is already existing".

What is your feeling about that? Will we finally be able to get them all in NL+UK?
