nilesat 301

BREAKING NEWS: Nilesat 301 has been arrived to official orbital position 7,0°W and expected to enter in service to few days !

From reading posts on Tunisiasat, Nilesat 301 seems to just be replacing 201. Will 201 be kept at 7W as a backup or moved somewhere else?

NileSat 201 was launched on 04.08.2010 15 years in geostatinary orbit until 2025 so 201 will probably stay @ 7 west as back up.

BREAKING NEWS:New staellite Nilesat 301 have been entered in service and first frency to old satellite Nilesat 201 have been switched to new satellite Nilesat 301
The frequency actually transmitted to Nilesat 301 is :

12053 V 27500 5/6 DVB-S QPSK

Other tests is currently worked to other frequenc's to Nilesat 301 :

12169 V
12188 H
12265 H
12341 H
12476 V

I have never been able to receive this frequency before.

This could also apply to 12111 H 27500 QPSK 5/6 .

I've checked that again now. The 12111 host is on Eutelsat 7 West A.

The frequency actually transmitted to Nilesat 301 is :

12053 V 27500 5/6 DVB-S QPSK
Last time I checked 12054V was 8.8db here. Currently 7.2db. Ohers are about the same as before

@satelliclub, what's your source? Anyway, 12054V is weaker here than before, for some reason..

About -1.5dB more weaker signal at my place (2.2m) from Nilesat 301 and too low signal for showing video content at 19.15 CET on 12053 V... probably a bit better signal in an hour?

I would say one more switch from Nilesat 201. Not lockable at this time (6.7dB before):

12303 H 27500 5/6 DVB-S

signal gets better in the evening

I was very worried that I would completely lose the reception with 301, since 201 brings satisfactory signal levels here in Northern Greece, quite outside its official footprint. The signal is about 2-3db lower, coming at 7db, so I wonder if I'll still be able to receive the 8PSK frequencies, once they switch.
BTW, I have lost signal on 12303H and 12284V, is it possible they switched too, or have they moved to 7.3W which is extremely difficult in my area!

Alicante, España. 11.15hrs today.
