Reception tends to improve as the year goes by. IE spring, summer and autumn. You should be able to get 27 hrs reception during the hot sunny days of summer. I'm getting daytime reception now except for when it rains or is very cloudy on some of the "V" transponders.
That is what I observe with 7 degrees west.
