I'm looking to be able receive Showtime channels for a customer. I need to source a 2m dish, or maybe advice on what size i do need.

Any one deal in lage dish sizes and willing to dispatch to Northern Ireland.

Its 1.8m for the Manchester area, Id expect quite a bit bigger would be required in Northern Ireland. At a guess Id say start thinking nearer 2.4m

2.4m sounds good. Channel master used to make one this size. Wonder if Andrews make them these days...
 
In answer to my own question, they do. At a little over £2600 it's a bit steep.
 
Is that for all the kit including the AZ/El mount?
 
Have tryed on a 1.8 meter channel master and could not get a lock on the showtime channels. 2.4 or 3.0 meter would be a better possibilty but may still struggle as these transponders are very weak in the UK.
 
i think your talking about nearer 3.5m dish to get the best reception on the channels , which is way too big

is it the football the customer wants as there is other channels like canal digital on 1west or sky italia on 13e which show many games
 
It is for the football. It's the number 3pm matches and other matches he's after. He has Sky and 1West. He's been on a popular satellite football website which has give him this info.
 
It would probally work out cheaper for him to get a season ticket for his team.

With the weather we have you are not gurantteed a singal with this satellite.

16 east
Supersport 1-5 (Diablo)

19 East
Premiere Sports (Diablo)
 
Not for much longer - Premier is going secure next week & Digi TV are looking at swapping encryptions too :D

A simple underscore at the start of the address will keep you within the rules.
