What are other peoples experiences with Nilesat veritcal transponders.

Right now with a 1.04m dish I get reception of ONE TV from 7am-1pm (when I got up) in the day then from 8 ish at night till I headed for bed evenings I pull in MBC stations fine.

MBC is jerky in the mornings then loses signal at 11ish am

What are other peoples experiences with Nilesat verticals, is it even possible for Horiztonals in the evening?

Im thinking of buying a better LNB for the dish soon as I can.

rd100 used to get them all on a 1.8m dish, depends if you got room for that

I can only get some vertical channels after about 10pm on a dry and clear night. Using Channelmaster 1.2 with 0.3 c120 lnb and channelmaster feedhorn.

The difference between South Wales and Belfast is alot then with the coverage beam.

Should be pleased I get good reception in the day time.

Verticals 24HR here Horizontals on occasion. This is the One TV transponder as I post.

(did have a bit of a  at OneTV)

Yep that seems about right the extra 20.1 cm would do that I think.

Least I can get Jeopardy when im up at 7am in the morning.

I use to get all H & V transponders with a 1.8m andrews with matching kuband feedhorn & c120 lnb but now can only get V transpoders with a 1.2 with feedhorn & c120 lnb but i get the v transponders 24/7

ignore my stupidedty but what is the diffrence between horizontal and vertical transonders.. and how could i see or chang mine,,,, the one i have or it says in the sat search is verictal...

on the 1.6 fortec i get about 50 to 55% on mbc, roughly the same on one tv at night time , at 2pm during the day it falls to roughly 42% on mbc and one tv, in the morning both frequencys can be around 45% mark. anything below 40% channels break up, any rain then channels disappear during the day, they can hold at night time if its not pouring down

That is quit a low signal for a 1.6m dish, but i have been told by alot of people that fortecstar dishes are not very good qulity, In the day time im geting about 80% signal on mbc transponder and about 85% in the night time

yes it is disapionting

i mentioned it about 5 weeks ago and you said get an inverto c120 and matching feedhorn which i will be doing in the near future. by the way its an offset dish and you thought it was a prime focus if that makes any difference in buying the inverto and feedhorn. One other piont from where you live in south wales to hartlepool you are bound to get a better signal, but mine hopefully will improve with some better equipment fitted.
