No "Reply" Options (Certain Browsers only)!!

Same, it is sad that people have to force adverts in where they're not wanted, I can understand them being needed to support something, but, when it's pretty much invading your daily browsing bypassing ad blocking software, er, no, not allowed on my computer...

@chris

Bump.

The "inability to post" issue with some Browsers , that started a couple of days ago, still persists.

Testing, Firefox 52.7.4 esr

We already know Firefox is ok ..... those of us who habitually use Pale Moon or Chrome have reverted to Firefox for that very reason

^^^ yes, but wanted to see if ESR version was ok as well.

I suspect the problem is widespread judging by the relative paucity of posts on the Forum in the past couple of days.

It's a real pain.

TBH, as an IE11 user for a long time, the "need" to use Firefox is a very "mixed-blessing" because I do like ,and use, the ability of IE11 to bring up a long list of recently-visited sites over, in my case, a few weeks - but, at least so far, I don't see Firefox as being as good.

I suspect that others have similar feelings about other browsers - therefore, @chris, please try to fix the current issues ASAP.

PS: I am now having problems in logging into at least (so far, but ! suspect this may increase!) at least one other forum that i have regularly used when I try to do that using Firefox as my default browser instead of IE11 .

PPS: now reset to using IE11 as the default for THAT reason:rolleyes:

NOW, having tried to log into that other site (pentaxforums.com - of which I have been a member for many years ) with which I am having "real problems", I can't even do that, even after having reregistered under a new user name, email address and p/w after earlier doing that via Firefox - so, does ANYONE have ANY ideas as to what I might have done wrong, or what has happened?

So far, no, still wondering what changed in this site for things to go wrong, never mind other sites... :confused

That said, I've not had issues on other forums, but they're not using XenForo, so maybe it's an issue unique to XenForo...

Not sure if @chris is away ..... not been on since late Wednesday.

Has he been kidnapped and the forum sabotaged? :-wow

Testing chrome (65.0.3325.162), all well.

Testing IE 11, does not show the text input field, but ok after adding satellites.co.uk to 'Compatibility view'.

Brilliant - that works for me too, and so this reply is posted via IE11 :D

What:
- @4wd : what prompted you to try that?
- @"anyone else", especially @chris,: does that prompt any thoughts as to what the underlying site issue is?

Pale Moon, definitely no text input field (this posted with FF).

@4wd : what prompted you to try that?
I am a forum admin\owner, regularly checking out things (SMF software).

Not for me though - this is what I got when I just tried to access the site using Chrome "Version 66.0.3359.139 (Official Build) (64 bit)" using the alternate email user name jeallen0101 & (probably) a virginmedia address that I created some days ago in an attempt to be able to Reply on the site:

"Oops! We ran into some problems.
You have been banned for the following reason: duplicate created when browsing issues arose no email received."

This was probably a result of some accidental double blank-posts and it would appreciated if someone could "unban" jeallen0101" now that we know that this is part of a site issue!!

PS: I now seem to have lost the text formatting, links and Smilies bar now - probably a side-effect of being in IE11 Compatibility mode!

"

Yes, IE lacks the formatting bar, but at least one may post until some fix arrives.

Testing latest Chrome, 66.0.3359.170, all well.
