Hi,
I have my dreambox for about a month now and I am quite new at this although I am a Electrical Engineer.
Everything was working fine until today when all of the sudden the receiver restarted by itself and then I couldn't receive any image through the hdmi cable. I tried restarting it a few times but my TV just says "no signal". Then when I connected the receiver with SCART cable I received an image. did anyone of you had this kind of problem with his receiver. My receiver is DM 800 HD PVR and it has enigma but I should mention that I haven't made any firmware updates or anything of that kind. Thank You

Try to flash the image on again, to see if that will sort it out, or it could be the hdmi output is broken.

I came acros other users having the same problem.
It is mostly the HDMI cable, try another one before doing any further tests on the HDMI output voltage.

I`ve just got a brandnew Sky HD box (non +version), when the bloke installed it, he went and used the HDMI to set it all up and left the menu on, when he went I tried BBC HD and it was a great picture (I dont pay the Murdoch HD tax)

Went to BBC1 and the screen all went black, not a thing on it, so I used the blue botton to get back (blue then select for last channel) and the picture came back on, tried it again with the guide, choose sky1 and black screen, couldnt even see the guide on screen, I tried a few different HDMI leads and none of them worked

I havent got a clue in my case, I might need to do a forced firmware download but dont know how on these new boxes lol

I`d go with whats been said in the posts above, try new HDMI leads or try to flash it with new firmware (or get a copy of the one thats on it now and reflash that), that said though if it`s only a month old did you buy it brand new? If you did, send it back and get another,

First I`d try new HDMI leads, then I`d look into sending it back and if that was not possible then I`d try to flash new firmware to the box, if new HDMI and new firmware didnt help and you couldnt send it back I`d take the covers off and look for dry joints near the HDMI port on the board (only break the seals if you know you cannot send it back)

Well I took it yesterday to the store because it was almost 1 month old, but before I tried switching to another HDMI cable and exit on the TV but no signal and when they received it in the store they also tried but it didn't work and they are suspecting that the processor is dead, probably(according to them) from lightning with which I disagree as there was no lightning storm when the problem occured. Anyway I'll wait and see what they say
